چکیده

India is still by far the major producer of various fruit crops, but its relative share in the world production has been gradually declining. Alternate bearer fruit cultivars present a serious economic problem to fruit growers. An alternate bearing plant is the one that does not bear a regular crop year-after-year; rather heavy yields are followed by extremely light yield. This complex phenomenon could be solved by transcriptome analysis resulted in numerous differentially expressed genes (DEGs), allowing the partial identification of mechanisms that convert ‘on’ into ‘off’ buds. Several candidate genes would be identified in future studies whose differential expression can be correlated with growth habit and architectural variation in another perennial fruit crops. The information generated will be utilized for identification of potential parents, desired hybrids in early nursery stage, thus would assist breeders by bringing precision breeding and also make available fruits during off years. *Corresponding author: Nimisha Sharma, Division of Fruits and Horticultural Technology, ICAR-Indian Agricultural Research Institute, New Delhi, 110012, India, Tel: +911125843214; E-mail: [email protected] Received September 30, 2015; Accepted October 14, 2015; Published October 17, 2015 Citation: Sharma N, Singh SK, Singh NK, Srivastav M, Singh BP, et al. The Plant Healthy and Safety Guards Plant Growth Promoting Rhizo Bacteria (PGPR)

Plant growth is influenced by a variety of abiotic and biotic factors. To survive a Complex and hostile environment, plants have evolved a series of inducible defense Mechanisms that enable them to activate appropriate defense responses upon Pathogen and abiotic stress factors attacking. Besides, rhizosphere bacteria also play a very important role in maintaining healthy plant growth process, s...

Potential use of Iranian rhizobial strains as plant growth-promoting rhizobacteria (PGPR) and effects of selected strains on growth characteristics of wheat, corn and alfalfa

Abstract Many agricultural researches have been performed to improve soil productivity. Nitrogen (N) and Phosphorus (P) are essential elements which are utilized by the plants in large amounts. Phosphorus can be provided by applying chemical fertilizers. Microorganisms convert insoluble phosphate to the soluble form and some bacteria such as rhizobacteria play an important role in this proces...

Plant Growth Promoting Rhizobacteria: A Critical Review

Plant growth-promoting rhizobacteria (PGPR) are naturally occurring soil bacteria that aggressively colonize plant roots and benefit plants by providing growth promotion. Inoculation of crop plants with certain strains of PGPR at an early stage of development improves biomass production through direct effects on root and shoots growth. Inoculation of ornamentals, forest trees, vegetables, and a...

An overview of plant growth promoting rhizobacteria and their influence on essential oils of medicinal plants: a review article.

One of the important and necessary practices for improving nutrients availability in sustainable agriculture is using microorganisms. Beside the negative effects of chemical fertilizers on the soil and human health, plant growth promoting rhizobacteria are known as an alternative to supply the organic nutrients of plants during the past two decades. Enriching soil fertility by eco-friendly meth...

بررسی اثر باکتری‌های محرک رشد گیاهی و سطوح هورمون بر ریزازدیادی درون‌شیشهای پپرومیا (Peperomia magnoliifolia)

Plant growth promoting rhizobacteria (PGPR) have been proposed as a useful tool for enhancing plant growth. However, only few studies have examined the application of PGPR in in-vitro plant micropropagation. This study was aimed at evaluating the effects of plant growth promoting rhizobacteria (PGPR) and hormone levels on in-vitro micropropagation of Peperomia. The experiment was conducted in a...
